Meshushim Stream, Yehudiya Forest Nature Reserve Photo Gallery

Yehudiya Forest is the largest nature reserve in the Golan Heights. The ground slopes from 600m above sea level to 200m below sea level, creating high waterfalls.

Meshushim Stream (Wadi Meshushim, Wadi el-Hawa) is the northernmost of the five streams flowing through Yehudiya Reserve and the longest flowing stream in the Golan, extending 35km from the foot of Mount Avital and the Bashamit Ridge through the Bethsaida Valley into the Sea of Galilee.

The Meshushim Pool is fed by a waterfall on Meshushim Stream at the foot of an upright basalt cliff made of hexagonal ("meshushim" in Hebrew) columns.
